About the Artists

Hello! I'm Faith, and I've always had a passion for beautiful jewelry. However, from a young age, I struggled with a significant metal allergy, which meant I was limited to tiny stud earrings or had to spend hundreds of dollars on unique pieces since everything had to be solid gold. Being the Midwesterner that I am, I thought, if something doesn’t exist, why not create it? So, I began sourcing my own gold-filled and solid gold ear wires, adding gold-plated accents and handmade resin designs to them! This allowed me to craft earrings that I could wear comfortably without irritation while incorporating fun, unique elements without breaking the bank. I couldn’t keep this to myself, so I decided to start Bear and Bean.

We frequently encounter a dilemma when making decisions: do you prioritize high quality or affordability? Would you prefer something minimalist and professional, or something that reflects your playful personality? I’ve chosen to take matters into my own hands and create a blend of both! While I work a corporate job during the day, my evenings and weekends are filled with crafting alongside friends, embarking on epic DND campaigns, building costumes from scratch for Renaissance festivals, and indulging in video games. I wanted to incorporate this aspect of my personality into my daily life with a fun “if you know, you know” vibe reminiscent of a thief’s cant.

I am thrilled to embark on this journey —Bear and Bean offers a collection of everyday essentials, unique statement pieces, and an opportunity for collaboration with all of you to create even more art for your everyday (and not-so-ordinary) life!
